Originally hailing from Sacramento, Miles Silvas is currently living in San Francisco, attacking legendary spots while also enjoying the payoff of more than 20 years of dedication to skateboarding. He got his first board from his cousin at five-years-old, and growing up in a family of athletes helped Miles apply that sports-training-mentality to getting better at skating. It worked, and after winning a local contest as a teenager, Miles was approached by Karl Watson to ride for Organika. This led to more sponsors, media exposure, magazine covers, and an eventual entry into the pro ranks. Now riding for Primitive and adidas, Miles has cemented his place in history by being named Thrasher Skater of the Year for 2023. When he’s not skating, Miles enjoys the outdoors. You can regularly find him going on hikes, biking, or camping with his wife and dogs.
