Tom Asta

Much like many pros from his era, Tom Asta’s journey in skateboarding began with a beat-up Walmart board from his cousin’s garage. Once his parents realized this wasn’t a fad and got him a real board for Christmas, the rest took care of itself. Growing up in Langhorne, Pennsylvania meant the historic plazas of Philadelphia were nearby. Tom used the ledges of Love Park, Muni, and City Hall to develop a technical style, while also being able to throw big flip tricks down the iconic Love Gap. After turning pro for Mystery Skateboards in 2011, Tom started a professional run that continues to this day with support from Santa Cruz. Tom puts a lot of focus towards his YouTube channel, while maintaining a balance between skating and being a father to his three kids. In his free time, Tom enjoys cooking foods that enhance his vegan lifestyle and winding down the day by playing Call of Duty.
